Coinbase is hiring an Enterprise Risk Manager to help drive the evolution of our risk management capabilities and ensure alignment between enterprise risks and the company’s strategic goals. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify emerging risks, facilitate enterprise risk assessments, and strengthen Coinbase's ability to anticipate, prioritize, and address material risks to the business. The right candidate will combine strategic insight with operational rigor and be comfortable engaging at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
Additionally, this person will be directly responsible for risk governance oversight for several of Coinbase’s legal entities as needed, including (but not limited to) Singapore, Australia and India. This necessitates ensuring that the broader risk governance program is conducted in a manner consistent with local regulatory expectations. The ERM Risk Manager will help drive cultural alignment and translate deep technical risk knowledge into actionable commercial understanding for executive and board-level decision-making. The role will act as both challenger and enabler to the business, providing independent second line perspective while enabling strong first line risk ownership.
