DeFi Trade and Reporting Associate

• Having shadowed the DeFi Trade and Security Advisor, assume end to end responsibility for on-chain trading activity adhering to process and best execution parameters

• Coordinate trade execution and multi-party signing processes between portfolio management team and with third party vault owners , adhering to specific internal trading parameters for timeliness and best execution across heterogenous groups of vaults

• Work with third party providers to enforce transaction level compliance and risk controls, including proactive management and monitoring of internal protocol allow lists.

• Troubleshoot operational bottlenecks, delays, and other problems presented throughout the trade life cycle

• Manage post trade record keeping processes and assist in the analysis of trading costs, reporting results and observations to the COO

• Responsible for drafting new processes and improving existing processes using gained experience to drive continuous improvement

• Manage quarterly revenue claim process across all vault infrastructure, ensuring timely execution, reconciliation and reporting

Data Management and Client Reporting

• Own client reporting; gather requirements from Business Development, translating them into technical specs for data team, and champion the build-out of a unified client reporting framework

• Establish a suite of templates/outputs e.g. quarterly reports, monthly factsheets, ad hoc client reports

• Own internal reporting; develop internal reporting framework to ensure accurate reconciliation of commercial revenue shares and commissions, and deliver clear analytical insights to stakeholders.

• Develop a deep knowledge of Avantgarde strategies and work with the Data & Infrastructure team to enable independent access to the relevant data through internal tooling and/or simple SQL queries

• Ability to proactively troubleshoot operational and reporting needs for clients and continuously seek to improve operational processes, and leverage learnings throughout the organisation

• Assist with client onboarding activity and client queries

Required

• High level of integrity, as an individual who will be executing smart contract transactions that will impact vault performance.

• Ability to execute simple database queries to independently retrieve structured data to use for client and internal reporting tasks.

• Excellent problem solving skills and common sense

• Detail oriented mindset, with an understanding of the importance of documentation and record keeping e.g. trade logs and evidencing the adherence to written procedures

• Enthusiasm for DeFi and crypto, with an understanding of the on-chain ecosystem

• Hands on experience with on-chain transactions and smart contract interactions

• Demonstrated experience with Gnosis SAFE infrastructure and hardware wallets

• Experience with best execution processes and trading cost analysis

• Self-starter with a strong desire to drive efficiency in internal processes, curious to learn from others in order to build new systematised processes

• Good communicator and critical thinker with a strong work ethic

• Able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and multitask to achieve multiple deadlines

• Core hours within a UTC +/- 2 timezone strongly preferred

• Flexibility to be online and support operationally 7 days a week as needed

Preferred

• 3 - 5 years of relevant experience as DeFi Operations or Trade Support within crypto and/or on the buyside in TradFi

• Experience with managing vaults, pooled investment strategies and multi-signature mandates is a plus

• Have working knowledge in Python and an interest to expand your technical skills

Qualifications

• Quantitative academic background and comfortable fetching and transforming data

• Demonstrated proficiency in Python for task automation is a plus

• Familiar with SQL queries
