Through its accelerator and launchpad, IMPOSSIBLE supports emerging crypto projects and connects users with carefully evaluated opportunities.
The role may involve working across IMPOSSIBLE, Rarible, Impossibuild, and other companies within the group.
About the Role
IMPOSSIBLE is looking for an AI-Native / AI-Forward Developer who uses coding agents and modern AI tools as an integral part of the software development process.
You will build and ship products using AI while maintaining ownership of architecture, code quality, security, testing, and production reliability.
The ideal candidate knows how to guide AI coding agents, evaluate their output, troubleshoot issues, and make independent engineering decisions.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship AI-powered product features, internal agents, and automation tools.
- Integrate large language models (LLMs) into frontend and backend systems.
- Develop AI workflows for research, risk, trading, and operations.
- Work with wallets, smart contracts, on-chain data, DeFi, and crypto infrastructure.
- Build retrieval systems, data pipelines, APIs, and automations.
- Experiment with new AI models, coding agents, frameworks, and APIs.
- Improve prompts, context management, evaluation, latency, cost, and reliability.
- Prototype quickly and deliver production-ready AI-native products.
- Review, debug, and test AI-generated code.
- Make architectural and product decisions while maintaining security and maintainability.
Requirements
Engineering
- Experience with Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or Go.
- Familiarity with React, Next.js, Node.js, and backend frameworks.
- Understanding of APIs, services, SQL, and modern databases.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, Git, CI/CD, testing, and monitoring.
- Ability to build reliable, secure, and maintainable software.
AI Tools and Workflows
- Experience with LLMs and LLM APIs.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
- Familiarity with agent frameworks, tool calling, and automated workflows.
- Understanding of vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and prompt engineering.
- Familiarity with evaluation, observability, MCP, and agent workflows.
- Ability to assess AI-generated code critically and identify errors.
What Matters Most
- A strong portfolio of shipped products and practical projects.
- Ability to use AI effectively without compromising engineering quality.
- Independent problem-solving and sound technical judgment.
- Crypto, blockchain, or DeFi experience is a plus, but not required.
Proof of Work
Applicants are encouraged to share GitHub repositories, live products, demos, open-source contributions, experiments, or technical write-ups.
The application includes three questions about using AI in development, identifying incorrect AI-generated code, and planning a production feature using AI throughout the engineering lifecycle.
